Hey hey howdy hey Internet! Today I am linking up my Five Things Friday post because that’s what grown-up type bloggers do.
So here we go!
If you missed it, on Wednesday I wrote about a dear friend of mine, Katie. She is awesome and is trying to raise money to finish training her PTSD Service Dog. If you didn’t see my post on Wednesday and want to hear more about my friendship with Katie (or want to see a super embarrassing picture of me) check out this post.
This week started out right with a two hour phone date with another dear friend of mine, Kayleigh. We met in Florida and she is such a wonderful and Godly woman. We don’t talk nearly enough, so catching up with her was amazing!
This week ROCKED in terms of snail mail! On Monday I got a cute and inspirational card from the bestie and on Wednesday I got a post card from my BFF Paula! I love snail mail so so much and it was so exciting to get these cards this week!
Confession: I am kind of obsessed with nail art. I’m too poor to afford regular manicures and too untalented to do my own nail art, but I have recently been embracing the “paint one nail a different color than the others” trend. Because that is nail art that I can do! But then I couldn’t decide which finger to paint different and then I came up with my favorite nail idea ever: Disney Point Nails.
For those of you who don’t know, Disney Cast Members point with 2 fingers (index and middle). Because it is less rude that regular pointing. I learned the Disney Point on my first day with the company, and it has stuck with me to infinity and beyond. I still point with two fingers and hope I never stop.
This week I took the Disney Point nails to another level and did actual nail art! With painters tape and everything! Check it out:
It wouldn’t be my blog without a good tooth story. On Tuesday I was sitting at work, minding my own business (…ok I may have been eating ONE SINGULAR jelly bean…) and one of my molars hardcore FELL OUT. The good news was that it was a crown. The bad news was that there was a GAPING HOLE in my mouth where a tooth should be. I was afraid the tooth under the crown had broken.
I rushed off to my dentist and after an hour and a half at his office I had a tooth again. Turns out my tooth hadn’t broken. I just had barely any tooth left. So for now I am home free. If it happens again (and it might) we will have to “figure out what we want to do.” That sounds like a lot pain and money to me. Let’s hope it doesn’t happen again!
So there’s that, Internet! I hope you had a positively magical week!
