Hey Internet! Happy Wednesday! How are you doing? It’s time for Weeding Week Recap Day 4! If you missed the last few days you can find:
So! Day 4 started with a slight panic. When I woke up my left eye was feeling very gunky and crusted closed. As soon as I woke up I was worried – My eyes had felt that way before and everytime they had It was because I had come down with the adult pink eye.
This could NOT happen during wedding week.
I went into the bathroom and squinted at my eyes (remember, I am basically blind). I couldn’t really tell how pink my eye was, so the clear assumption was that I had the pink eye. After a panicked call to my mom and a quick google sesh on “over the counter pink eye treatments” I looked in the mirror in the light of the living room and… It was not in the least bit pink…
I had the MOH look at it, and we both decided it was NOT pink eye.
Praise the Lord Jesus above!
The MOH, in her infinite wisdom, figured it out. Remember on Day 3 when I got the acrylic nails? Remember how much I love the acrylic nails? Yeah… turns out the night before I had some trouble getting my contact out with my nails. When I finally did get it out, it hurt a bit. APPARENTLY it hurt because I scratched my eyeball.
Because I am talented like that.
But I was super happy to make this realization because it meant that I didn’t have the pink eye and that I could just switch to glasses a few days and be fine. Which it was.
Anyway, after that scare was over we headed over to the Brides house and helped with last minute crafty things. It was a great girly afternoon. We watched Sex and the City and ironed pew bows and wrapped gifts and packed up wedding stuff and then the bride gave us our bridesmaids gifts.
Holy Moly guys. My bestie is seriously THE BEST. She and her husband are both so hospitable and generous, and I knew that already but OH MAN. A quick run down:
Ear muffs for the outside picture taking.
A necklace for the wearing at the wedding.
A robe for the getting ready in.
A jewelry box to hold our necklaces in
A clutch (FROM ANTHROPOLOGIE) just to have.
Fun PJ’s for the sleepover the night before the wedding!
And an embroidered handkerchief for the crying at the wedding.
I mean holy moly!! It was too much! I just can’t! How?! I love her. (And not just because she gives the best gifts ever. (But seriously. THE BEST)) It was like Christmas! But better!!!
After that the MOH and I went back to her place and watched some White Collar.( I have since become obsessed and gotten my mom even more obsessed. She keeps watching it without me! DANGIT MOTHER!) And that was Day 4.
It was lovely.
Well, I will see you tomorrow internet!!
