Hey Internet, now that I am done posting my poor life decisions on the internet and am filled with shame and regret, I thought I would stop by and do a real post about fall!
So like I said, yesterday we went to a pumpkin patch and decorated for Halloween and had a wonderful fall day! And then Hocus Pocus happened and… well you know how that turned out…
Anyway, instead of the list I started yesterday, I thought I would share with you my day yesterday in photos!
SO MUCH HAPPY FUN TIMES! They had HUGE Pumpkins (big enough to sit on!) and the U of I continues to teach me very important things! This time about pumpkins!
Guys. I can’t even with this one. This was the view from the pumpkin patch’s store.
Favorites: PUMPKIN WAGON, Apple Cider Slush and Old Pumpkin Truck
Note about how I decorate: We all know how much I love fall. I have said that like Eleventy-Million times. Well, when I decorate for Halloween I get SUPER EXCITED. I run around like a crazy mad woman and sing pumpkin carols and its the best!! This is what I sounded like yesterday:
“ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN ON HALLOWEEN YOUR DOG COULD TURN INTO A CAT – MEOW – WEREWOLF BAR MITZVAH: SPOOKY! SCARY! – GROWING UP ISNT EASY!”
(The first and last songs are from The Worst Witch. The middle song is from 30 Rock. You should probably go watch both now.)
This is my tiny white pumpkin Dainty. She is super dainty, but has a scar on her face, so she is also super BA. Like she will go out for tea AND THEN SHANK YOU. Watch out.
This is Princess Pumpkin. She is a Pink Pumpkin! (Who Knew those Existed? I didn’t) She also is kind of beat up. I realized that whenever I find a pumpkin I love I turn it and it is scarred and damaged. I think that is a metaphor for life. So I keep it anyway because I love it and all of it’s damage. I think this is also a metaphor for life.
This is our mantel! And some of my favorite Halloween decorations. The two ghosts were made by my grandma (who was a ceramics superstar) and are part of the reason I love Halloween so much! I especially love the ghost with the spider on his hat. He’s my boy. I like him because his hat is on sideways and I always though that made him kind of baller. Plus his best friend spider can go anywhere with him! which is awesome.
My cat got in on the action last night and did a spot-on impression of his name sake inflating after getting hit by the bus.
My favorite stuffed dog Max was waiting for me at the top of the stairs last night! It was a bed time miracle!
The Morning After. Can we all just agree to make uneven buttoning of shirts a thing? Because this is how I button my shirts EVERY TIME. I can’t help it. I think we just need to make this a thing.
So that’s that internet.
What have you done publicly that has filled you with shame and regret?
